Kolsch was a bust, Reese's was the business

For awhile now we have been promising more micros but have been lacking on posts. This post's title sums up some of our recent additions. I believe the problem with the Kolsch was largely do to its lager hybridness. The Heartache's cellar just wasn't ready for such low temps and the raspberry goodness suffered because of it. It still drank well but was far more bitter than assumed it should be. Round #2 will be different because of the cellar's new addition: The "Tebow Traveler"/lager cooler.

*NOTE: much more to come on the dual purpose traveling party kegeGator*

The Reese's Peanut Butter Stout, however, was pure bliss to the palette. What started out at an experiment to hush the naysayers, blossomed into nothing short of the nectar of the gods. It is all gone and was gone fast. A nice sweet stout with the aroma and hint of peanut butter and chocolate in the finish. Very subtle, very good! This black as night libation served well with dessert and everything else under the moon (liquid breakfasts were frequent when this baby hit the taps). We WILL be bringing this one back in the future due to popular request.

Cheers!
